Ok, you heard it here first… today I worked as a sobarica!
Yes, I helped prepare the breakfast in a B & B and then cleaned the rooms – made small talk with the guests, did the dishes, straightened the beds, changed the towels, cleaned the basins and the toilets, replaced the toilet rolls and left the little triangle shapes on the toilet paper rolls… I have arrived!
And to think I used to wear a suit and work in a Solicitor’s Office – if they could see me now.
Well, well, well, just think of all the PhD people currently driving cabs in Auckland - sorry, just a tiny sarky remark that I just could not kill off ;)
